BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

May 25, 2011

CALL TO ORDER: The BZA meeting was called to order by acting President Perry Clingan at 6:02 pm.

Attendees: Brian Hayes, Kathy Kope, Morgan Hayes, Phil Dawson, Brittany Dawson, Bill Ebert, Josh Kope, Ward Odom, Atta Hayes

OLD BUSINESS: Following discussion between the two attendees, Perry Clingan accepted the position of President, with the concurrence of Lyle Torrence. Lyle Torrence motioned, seconded by Perry Clingan to accept the minutes of the November 9, 2009 meeting. Motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS: A variance request, V-11-001, has been made by Atta Hayes, on behalf of Atta E. and Merval E. Hayes Revocable Trust, concerning the placement of a modular home at the southeast corner of Dole and Hardy Streets. The variance is on the age of the modular home. After a review of the necessary steps for a valid application, discussion followed concerning the request. The Board members present then conducted a written ballot which tallied as 2 in favor, none opposed. The Variance V-11-001 was approved and signed by the Board members. The President then called other business from the floor and received none.

ADJOURNMENT: The President motioned to adjourn, second and approved by Lyle Torrence. Meeting adjourned at 6:15 p.m.
