The Park Board met on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in the Town Hall. Those present were: Louise Brock, Sarah Odom, Ward Odom, Tatsy Hayes, and Chad Minier.
President Chad
moved, seconded by Louise Brock to approve the April 28, 2007 meeting.
Town Manager Ward Odom reported that all of the
trees from the Tree Planting Grant have been received and planted. Franz’s Nursery will check on the tree
planted on the Minier property for reason it died and what further action will
be taken toward replacement.
Ms. Sharon Stroh of the Steuben Community Foundation
received confirmation from a donor that they will approve the full $24,500 for
the playground equipment for Hardy Park.
TydenBrammall will be contacted for any financial help toward expenses
with the ramp, steps, backstop, or man-hours to assemble the play equipment.
Ward also suggested that we might find volunteers to build the ramp and work at
the concession retaining wall.
The group reviewed the Skateboard Ordinance. President Minier made a motion to present
this ordinance at the next council meeting.
Motion was seconded by Louise Brock and unanimously approved by those
present.
Reports were made concerning the Ashley-Hudson
Festival and 5k & 10k run. There is
some uncertainty about the planned Fun Day in the park scheduled for August 18th.
The next Park Board Meeting will be Saturday, July
14th at 9:00 am in the Town Hall. Chad
Minier moved, seconded by Louise Brock to adjourn. Motion passed.
