The Park Board met on
Friday, November 30, 2007, in the Town Hall.
Those present were: Anna Platt,
Chad Minier, Larry Johnson, Lyle Torrence, Betty Hamm, Gene Hamm, Louise Brock,
Steve Smith, Ed Miller, Trina Pollock, Sean Walker, Ward Odom, and Tatsy Hayes
President Chad Minier called the meeting to order at 4:32 p.m. A motion was made by President Chad Minier to accept the November 2, 2007 minutes. Sean Walker seconded the motion. The motion carried.
The main emphasis of the meeting was deciding on the playground equipment to purchase. Gene Hamm contacted Sharon Stroh on the telephone so that she could clarify how the money was to be used. President Chad Minier expressed the desire to see the improvement of the park extend from the ball diamond fence to the road. After discussion, Louise Brock motioned to go with the $9,999.00 play equipment (Tots Choice 718-S029-F7J) and to check pricing on a tether ball pole area, tire swing, excavation for extra playground area and fill. Motion seconded by Anna Platt. Motion unanimously carried. The Town Manager, Ward Odom, was directed to get quotes on the additional equipment. Anna Platt made the motion that if we need to place an immediate order, and the patriotic color scheme was approved, Ward Odom is to contact Chad Minier and the purchase can be completed. Motion seconded by Louise Brock. Motion passed.
Due to the time of the Town Council Meeting, Chad Minier motioned the meeting be closed. Motion seconded by Louise Brock. The meeting adjourned at 4:55 p.m.
