HUDSON PARK BOARD
September
24, 2007
The
Park Board met on Monday,
September 24, 2007, in the Town Hall. Those present were: Anna Platt, Betty Hamm,
Gene Hamm, Tatsy Hayes, Chad Minier, and Ward Odom.
President Chad Minier called the meeting to
order at 7:05 p.m. Those present were given copies of the
minutes of the previous meeting. Gene
Hamm moved, seconded by Anna Platt, to accept the minutes. Motion carried.
Town Manager
Ward Odom explained to the group the cost of the play set they had chosen was
more expensive then originally thought and that there was an overlapping of
equipment that the park already had. He
was in contact with an Indiana
playground company and a representative, Brian Rose, would be coming to Hudson on Monday, October
1, at 10:00 a.m. to show us
other possibilities and costs that we could incorporate without purchasing the
whole set. He also gave them a copy of
climbing structures from Burke Company the Geosculpt
that might be a great addition to the park.
The revised skating board ordinance was reviewed by the members. This ordinance was primarily for use in Hardy Park.
Anna Platt motioned, seconded by Gene Hamm to send this to the Town Council for
their next meeting on October
26, 2007. Motion
carried. Signs have been purchased by a
donation for the Halloween Festival to be held October 27, 2007. Trick or Treat will be held on October 31
from 5-7. The Town Manager will contact
Indiana Northeastern Railroad Company so that railroad crossings are not
blocked at this time.
Chad Minier
inquired about the possibility of making a running path on the Easterday
property. It was mentioned that the Town
Council had already given permission for practice ball diamonds to be made by
the ball league and it was felt that there should be no problem getting
approval. This will be brought up at the
next council meeting.
The next Park
Board Meeting will be Monday, October 8th at 7:00 pm in the Town Hall.
Chad Minier moved, seconded by Gene Hamm to adjourn. Motion passed. The meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
Respectfully
submitted,
