The Hudson Volunteer Fire Department has formed a partnership with Angola Fire Department to start the smoke detector program here in the local response area. Angola Fire Department was awarded a grant for smoke detectors and had a surplus of them and was willing to provide some of them to the department. Applications are available at the town hall and the fire station. You can download an Adobe Acrobat copy. Click here. The siren will be tested every Friday at noon with a 15 second steady wail. The siren has 4 distinct tones. 1. Steady Wail: Tornado Warning, danger is imminent. 2. Slow up and down wail: Fire Call for all firefighters to assemble at the fire hall. 3. Fast up and down wail: Terrorism alert. 4. 15 second steady wail: test
